About Clark

A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where they studied with GRAMMY Award-winning composer Mason Bates, Clark's music has been described as "focused."

Writing stylistically diverse works, Clark has a special interest in developing original repertoire for the mandolin. Their work has been performed by the Del Sol Quartet, Airis String Quartet, and leading mandolin soloist Alon Sariel in Europe and the United States.

Clark performed as a mandolin guest artist in the world premiere of Mason Bates’ The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay with the IU Jacobs School of Music.

Their other interests include fiction, philosophy, musicology and writing. As a musicologist, Clark has written and presented on American composer Lou Harrison.
